Rabans Lane Traffic Issues

I imagine that most of you have noticed the traffic jam problems being caused from time to time by the temporary lights at the Abbey Homes development. I raised this with Bucks and have had the following reply:

 "Highways Development Management (HDM) have discussed the matter with both the developer, Abbey Homes, and the contractor, Ashvale Civil Engineering, and have made it clear that the traffic disruption resulting from inappropriate signal timings is unacceptable and must be addressed promptly.

As a result, the Traffic Management contractor, Innercity TM, has been instructed to ensure that the temporary traffic signals are continuously monitored while works are taking place on the public highway, in order to minimise any further disruption. The associated road space permit will be amended to reflect this requirement. In addition, HDM has reminded all parties that the conditions of the road space permit must be complied with at all times.

HDM will also increase the frequency of site inspections to monitor compliance and ensure that appropriate traffic management arrangements are maintained throughout the duration of the works."

Unfortunately, at the moment it isn’t known exactly how long the disruption will last - but it will be for some time as building development works progress.
